I worked closely with a team of developers and innovators covering the design and UI portion of the creation of the SILI app. The SILI app was created during a Hackathon competition. It combines art, social media, and emotion - utilizing facial recognition software, your smart phone, and Facebook. The app is meant to be utilized in any environment where art is being publicly viewed (art gallery, museum, art festival, etc). While the viewer is looking at a piece of art, the SILI app can essentially identify if the viewer likes or dislikes what is being viewed based on facial movements/gestures, how long the person views the piece, etc. The app then uses that info in the social realm, comparing all art viewer's opinions on pieces shown at selected art events.
